Bread Gulab Jamun Recipe
Ingredients
- 8 Slices Bread
- 1 Cup Sugar
- 1/4 Tsp Cardamom powder
- 1/2 Tbsp Lemon juice
- 1 1/2 Tbs Milk powder
- 6 Tbsp Milk
- Few pistachios
Instructions
- For Making sugar syrup
- In a deep bottom pan add 1 cup Sugar
- 1 Cup of water
- Stir on medium flame until sugar melts downs completely
- Add 1/4 Tsp cardamom powder - Boil until syrup is slightly sticky
- Add 1/2 Tbsp lemon juice - Mix it
- Switch off the flame and keep it aside
- Take 8 slices of bread - Cut the corners
- Break into small pieces - Grind it into fine powder
- Transfer the powder in a bowl - Add 1 1/2 Tbsp Milk powder and mix well
- Add 6 Tbsp Milk in batches
- Knead to a smooth dough add more milk if required
- Once the dough is ready
- Take a small portion of dough - Flatten it and stuff it with pistachios
- Seal it with both hands and make round balls out of it
- Once ready - Heat oil in a pan
- Drop the balls in hot oil
- Fry on medium flame on until golden in color
- Flip over and keep stirring in between
- Once the balls are fried remove it in a kitchen towel
- Drop the hot jamuns into hot sugar syrup
- Coat all the balls and mix well with the sugar syrup
- Cover and let it rest for one hour
- Gulab Jamun is now ready - Remove it in serving dish
- Granish with pistachio and serve it
