Ingredients  

  • 500 Grams Chicken bone / boneless washed and cleaned
  • 1 Cup Curd
  • 1/2 Tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Cumin powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Garam masala powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Black pepper powder
  • 1 Tsp Coriander powder
  • 1 Tbsp Ginger garlic paste paste
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • 3-4 Cloves
  • 2 Onions finely chopped
  • 1 Tomato (puree)
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 Cup Fresh mint leaves
  • 1 Cup Fresh coriander leaves
  • 1 Green chilli
  • 4 Tbsp Oil

Instructions 

For Making Green Paste

  • In a grinding jar - Add one cup fresh mint leaves, one cup fresh coriander leaves and one Green chilli.
  • Grind to make smooth paste.
  • Once the paste is ready transfer it in a bowl.

For Marinating Chicken

  • In a bowl add 500 Grams chicken bone / boneless
  • Add 1 cup curd
  • Add 1/2 Tsp Turmeric powder, 1/2 Tsp Red chilli powder, 1/2 Tsp Cumin powder, 1/2 Tsp Garam masala powder and 1/2 Tsp black pepper powder.
  • 1 Tbsp ginger garlic paste.
  • Salt to taste.
  • Now add green paste and mix all the ingredients well.
  • Cover it and marinate for two hours in refrigerator.

For Preparing Chicken

  • Heat 4 Tbsp oil in a pan.
  • Add 2 bay leaves and 3-4 Cloves and stir few seconds.
  • Add 2 finely chopped onions and saute until golden brown.
  • Add 1 Tbsp ginger garlic paste and give it a mix.
  • Add tomato puree made of one tomato.
  • Add 1 Tsp coriander powder, 1/2 Tsp Garam masala powder and 1/2 Tsp Red chilli powder and mix well.
  • Cover with lid and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • When cooked well, add marinated chicken and mix well.
  • Cover with lid and cook for 25 minutes, check and stir in between.
  • Once the chicken is cooked remove it in a serving bowl.
  • Serve with roti, naan or paratha.
