In a pressure cooker add chana dal
Add 2 cups water - Add 1/4 Tsp turmeric powder - Add 1/2 Tsp salt - Give it a mix
Close the lid and pressure cook on high flame for 2-3 whistles
open the vessel when pressure is released completely and give a slight stir
Heat 3 Tbsp oil in a pan - - Add 1/2 Tsp cumin seeds - 2 Bay leaves
Add 2 finely chopped onions - Saute until golden brown
Add 1 Tbsp ginger garlic paste - Stir for few seconds
Add 2 finely chopped tomatoes - give it a mix
Add 1/4 Tsp turmeric powder
Add 1/2 Tsp red chilli powder
Add 1/2 Tsp coriander powder
Add 1/2 Tsp cumin powder
Add 1/2 Tsp kitchen king masala
Add 1/2 Tsp Garam masala powder - Mix well
Cover and let it cook for 3-4 minutes
When soft and cooked well - Add dal and salt as per taste
Add Few coriander leaves - Give it a mix
Add 1/2 cup water - Cover and let it cook for 5-7 minutes
Check if dal is cooked well - Remove it in a serving dish
