Garlic Corn Rice is a delicious and rich dish made from corn and garlic which can be served along with other dishes or as a separate dish. It is rather easy to prepare and as such can be taken as a side dish or as a main course. The rice used is usually one that is a day old due to the fact that it has a somewhat dry texture hence it will not turn out to be soft when stir-frying. You can also cook and use fresh long-grain rice like Basmati.
Add 2 tbsp finely chopped garlic and stir for a few seconds.
Add green chili and saute for a minute.
Now add 2 tbsp sweet corn and mix it properly.
Add salt as required and 1/2 tsp black pepper powder, stir and cook for a minute on medium flame.
Add 1 bowl pre pre-cooked rice and give it a mix keeping the flame low.
Now add garlic paste and red chili sauce and saute for a minute or two.
Top it with a few chopped spring onion greens and mix well.
Remove it in a serving bowl.
You can serve with manchurian, roasted vegetables, paneer chilli and tofu.
