Ingredients  

  • 2 Cups All purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Baking powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Baking soda
  • Salt as per taste
  • 1/2 Cup Cup curd

Instructions 

  • In a bowl add 2 cups all purpose flour, 1/2 Cup curd, 1 Tbsp Sugar, Salt as per taste, 1 Tsp baking powder, 1/2 Tsp baking soda.
  • Now mix all the ingredients well
  • Add warm water gradually to knead a soft dough
  • Dough ready - apply 1 tbsp oil evenly
  • Cover and let it rest for 2 hours
  • The dough is puffed up - knead for few seconds - Pita dough is ready
  • Take a portion of dough - give it a round shape - dip in dry flour
  • Roll it with rolling pin like chapati - do not make it thin
  • Heat a tawa on a medium flame and place the pita bread on it
  • Cook until bubbles appear and flip over
  • Cook evenly on both sides
  • When cooked well remove it in a plate
  • Pita bread is ready - You can use it for Shawarma or any kind of rolls and wraps
