Sindhi Sai Bhaji Recipe

Sindhi Sai Bhaji is an extremely good to taste healthy vegetarian recipe showcasing sindhi cuisine. This dish is a complete meal in itself, it is packed with green vegetables, lentils, and spices.

Ingredients  

  • 100 Grams Spinach
  • 100 Grams Dill leaves
  • 100 Grams Green sorrel leaves
  • Wash well and chop finely
  • 3 Nos Medium onions finely chopped
  • Tomato puree - made of four medium tomatoes
  • 1/2 Cup  Chana Dal washed and soaked for 30 minutes
  • 1 Tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1 Tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 Tsp Coriander powder
  • 1 Tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 Chopped green chilli
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 Tbsp Tbsp oil

Ingredients For Prepration Of Tadka

  • 1 Tbsp Tbsp oil
  • 3-4 Nos Cloves of chopped garlic
  • 1 Tsp Red chilli powder

Instructions 

  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker.
  • Once the oil is heated add chopped onions and saute until golden brown.
  • Add ginger garlic paste and give it a mix.
  • Add spinach, sorrel and dill leaves
  • Add chana dal, green chilli and mix for a minute or two.
  • Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and salt to taste.
  • Now mix all the spices and ingredients well.
  • Add tomato puree and mix well on high flame for two minutes.
  • Add two cups of water and mix slightly.
  • Close the lid and cook for 4-5 whistles.
  • After 4-5 whistles turn off the flame and let the pressure release.
  • Open the lid, give it a mix and mash it slightly with a wooden masher.
  • The tasty sai bhaji is now ready, remove it in a serving bowl.

Prepration Of Tadka

  • In a small tadka pan, heat one tbsp oil.
  • Add 3 to 4 cloves of chopped garlic.
  • Fry until it changes color.
  • Turn off the flame, add one tsp red chilli powder.
  • Give it a mix, the tadka is now ready.
  • Add the tadka (tampering) to the sai bhaji.
  • You can serve it with roti or rice.
